Client passes polygraph examination with flying colors- no indication of deception in answers to the relevant questions. Attorney Finn submits a packet to the Grand Jury, including the polygraph results and statements from various material witnesses. Additional information is presented to the grand jury regarding the character and truthfulness of the alleged victim. Attorney Finn and Client appear at the Grand Jury on the date that the case is considered. Attorney Finn and Client make it known to the Grand Jury that Client is available and willing to answer any questions that the grand jurors might have for Client.

After conducting an independent investigation, including Client passing a polygraph examination regarding whether she possessed or pointed a gun, and an examining trial wherein the investigating officer admitted that the complainant's description of the alleged gun was somewhat vague (and the officer acknowledged that the complainant is his next-door neighbor), and a grand jury packet is presented, the grand jury drops both cases down to misdemeanor deadly conduct charges.

Result:
On the day the cases are set for trial, the defense announces ready for trial. The prosecution announces that it is not ready. Subsequent investigation reveals that the complainant initially told investigators that she saw the weapon. Then in front of the grand jury she admits that she's not positive that she saw a weapon. Then she tells the prosecutor that she was relying upon what her five-year old child had told her. Then she states that she saw "something" in Client's hand. The prosecution ultimately offers Client a conditional dismissal on both cases, which she accepts.
